Prototyping through additive manufacturing
IsoProfil creates the future!
Rapid prototyping, 3D printing, additive manufacturing are terms of a mature future-proof technology, which expands the horizon of conventional manufacturing processes. The production of single pieces up to 10,000 pieces is no problem. Seamless manufacturing using 3D printing is possible up to a build volume of 500 x 500 x 500 mm. 3D printing is not a "panacea", but if used in a specific way, it offers the potential to generate new competitive advantages.
In 3 steps to the finished part:
CAD data → automatic process → part.

Advantages of additive manufacturing
- Acceleration of product development - Time savings.
- Illustration of concepts without tools
- Variable batch sizes
- Elimination of design errors
- Geometry & design freedom compared to conventional manufacturing processes
- Sustainable (fast, low waste, low material usage, recyclable)
- Reduction in the number of components by combining an assembly
- Weight savings through bionic geometries using topology optimisation
- Combination of several materials (e.g. PA6 with carbon)
Application examples
- Mechanical engineering: spare parts, single part or mass production, technically challenging and extremely complex components
- Architecture: visualisation of appearance, functional verification and accuracy of fit of building constructions
- Automotive: maximum design freedom, geometric and functional component assurance
- Aircraft industry: propellers, lightweight construction
- Aerospace: high-strength components, short production times

Additive manufacturing – FAQ
Yes, but not in all shapes and sizes. IsoProfil will be happy to check your requirements and send you a quotation
- Horizontally side by side
- Vertically one above the other
- Diagonally or crosswise
- Concentrically
3D printing also makes wavy or serpentine lines possible, as well as branched structures and helical shapes.
