Copper profile manufacturer
Copper is one of the oldest utility metals and is today one of the most widely used non-ferrous metals. A copper profile combines characteristics such as high electrical and thermal conductivity as well as good machining and forming properties with excellent corrosion resistance. Copper profiles can therefore be used in a wide variety of industrial sectors.
We supply copper profiles as semi-finished products from which functional parts can be manufactured with very little effort. Technical solutions based on profiles are becoming increasingly important thanks to their cost-effective production. If you need advice concerning our products, please do not hesitate to contact us personally.
Copper profiles as custom products
Our various copper profiles are produced on an extrusion press. We supply profiles offering an up to eight times higher precision than the extrusion standard according to DIN EN 12167 and DIN EN 12165. The degree of precision that we achieve in our production often opens up unprecedented possibilities for rationalisation. Designers and engineers are given so much freedom because they are not tied to the standard specifications. Our copper profiles are often used in the form of flat bars and round tubes in the field of electrical engineering.
The advantages of copper profiles
Easy processing
Copper is a material that is extremely easy to process and shape. Thanks to its good formability, copper is in great demand as a raw material for forging in addition to its applications in profile technology.
High electrical conductivity
It has the second-highest electrical conductivity after silver, followed by gold.
High corrosion resistance
Copper is also one of the most widely used non-ferrous metals due to its high corrosion resistance.
Fields of application for our copper profiles
A copper profile has a wide range of potential applications. Thanks to its excellent conductivity, copper profiles are used i.a. as chilling panels in electrical engineering. In architecture, copper profiles are sometimes used as façade decorations. The use of extruded copper profiles often opens a wealth of unprecedented possibilities for technology and design.

Copper alloys
Copper alloys such as brass offer advantages in terms of decorative colour, corrosion resistance and easy processing. Especially as a wrought alloy, copper has almost unlimited applications in hot forming (rolling, forging) and cold forming (wire drawing, hammering, cold rolling, deep drawing).

FAQ
Because of its outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity, durability and corrosion resistance, copper is used primarily in electrical engineering, electronics, construction, the automotive industry and mechanical engineering.
Because of its antibacterial effect. Door handles of medical equipment are often made of copper, or germ-free surfaces are clad with copper
Bars, wires, tubes, sheets and strips, profiles (standard and special shapes)
Very complex profiles with thin-walled cavities, multi-chamber profiles, very large tube and box profiles with thin walls, structural profiles such as beams, sharp-edged profiles
- Superior corrosion resistance
- Significantly higher electrical conductivity, 3–4 times better than brass
- Superior thermal conductivity, twice as high as brass
- Better formability
Copper changes under the influence of air and moisture. It oxidises and weathers, and its colour changes from salmon red to green. A natural patina forms that makes the underlying metal extremely durable and weather-resistant. In architecture, this is often desired or even deliberately accelerated.
The relevant DIN standards generally apply to
- general (DIN EN 12167)
- electrical engineering/conductors (DIN EN 13605)
However, IsoProfil can also achieve tolerances that differ from these DIN standards. We will be happy to check individually what is feasible.
Copper is 100% recyclable and has a high recycling rate of over 40%. Because of the high value of the raw material, it can be returned to the cycle as a single-grade material. Remelting scrap copper uses around 85% less energy than primary production. Its durability minimises the consumption of resources, and it often lasts more than 100 years.
